Very nice hotel handy located to attend the Canton Fair

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel because we were attending the Canton Fair. The hotel provides a shuttle every day in order to attend the Canton Fair it is very efficient only takes 20 minutes to get there. The hotel is located in Tian he a very busy district with all the attractions nearby such as shopping malls, the Canton Tower, the Opera House. In order to get to the subway, you need to walk around 20 minutes. The breakfast was very good with occidental and Asian options available, so you can try some of the Chinese food which is quite amazing. Everything looks very clean and well prepared. I will totally recommend this hotel if you want to stay in budget with a 4-star treatment. The amenities are amazing at the bathroom with a five-star feeling. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with a complimentary box of cookies as a welcoming. After the fair finished they served canapes and drinks. It is a starbucks inside the hotel very useful too.

Good hotel close to canton fair

Each time I stay here I find it gets better. English with the staff improves each visit, although still limited in some instances, and they like to practice on you while waiting for taxi or lift. Stayed in a suit this time and can't fault this hotel. Room is clean, large and staff do their very best to accommodate you. I was there for Canton fair and on returning from the fair they had a lovely arrival area that provided drinks, sushi and sandwiches. All very fresh. There is a Starbucks on site and restaurants in the hotel and close by. As usual with China always make sure you have the hotel address in Chinese, take a card from reception, and the places you want to go should also be written in Chinese as the cab drivers have very limited English. The breakfast varies, this time around I found it very Asian yet other times there has been a good mix of western and Asian food. They do cook eggs fresh and there is always toast. Coffee average sadly. Beds are super comfy, towels fluffy and if you need anything a quick call to house keeping brings them to you very quickly. Room are well sound proofed and the view from the 28th floor looking at the mass of cars is quite intriguing. Went for a walk around the area and found new places such as a fresh food place and small supermarket at the back of the Hotel and about one block to the right. Handy to grab some fresh fruit and water/soft-drink/alcohol as the fridges in the room are empty. I highly recommend this as a good hotel to stay, mini bus is provided for trade fairs and there is a good abundance of restaurants within 5 minutes drive by taxi. Great Japanese restaurant right at the hotel on the outside and the hotel provides a turn down service.

We stayed here at the Victoria Hotel for the Canton Fair. It was very comfortable, quiet, well appointed - huge comfortable beds, nicely decorated. Most staff didn't speak very good English but they tried hard and were so nice and friendly. The breakfast was a bit odd, I have had better but there was a huge choice at least and I think other reviews are being a bit harsh, we were not paying Marriott prices. As with all of China the internet was quite poor, I gave up trying to do anything more basic than emails & basic banking after a couple of days but I guess it is a national issue and you can get by with it. They had connection in the bedrooms so you could work - it was OK. We were staying at the Victoria for the Fair and they laid on shuttle busses which was really helpful, trying to get a cab after the fair at the end of the day is like trying to remove a splinter with your feet. With light traffic it took just 15 mins, it's a crazy city though and in bad traffic is more like 40 mins. I would definitely return to this hotel, it is located between the station and fair, close to some great places to eat, I have really only positive things to say about it for the money.

Nice girl not so far from the Canton fair with regular shuttle bus there. WiFi is slow. Nobody speaks Englush well. Cleand and large rooms. Vcelku slušný hotel nedaleko výstaviště Kanton Fair s pravidelným autobusem na místo a zpět. WiFi pomalá. Pokoje velké a čisté. Anglicky tady umí málokdo.
